Ace or Disgrace 2, Items I'm Lusting Over, Trashy TV and more.

Wow, December 20th was the last time I posted a blog. Bad Biz, Bad.

Now that the scolding is over, I have a few things to write down.

First off, let me just say that just because it isn't Christmas anymore, doesn't mean I haven't stopped making wishlists. In fact, more and more things I want keep popping up on my windows desktop post-it note.

1. A pair of Nude Coach heels.

2. A webcam
3. Flowerbomb Perfume
4. I'm really wanting Facebook to create the "Dislike" button and for text messages to have bold, italics and underline text options. Sometimes I need to make more of a point than capitalizing an entire word.

5. And of course, every new makeup item that happens to come out in 2011. But that's it.

Alright, it's time for another In's and Out's...or as I like to call them, Aces or Disgraces.

Ace
  • Flowy duvet covers that have you dreaming about the next time you can lay down in bed all day.
  • All the new drugstore makeup that's coming out this winter/spring. I'm super excited for the new Wet n Wild palettes and the Natural Neutrogena skincare line.
  • The Trashy TV! We are T-37 minutes until the season premiere of Teen Mom 2. I can't wait. I'm also excited for Tosh.0 :)
  • This blog. Writing always makes me feel better, I need to do it more often.
Disgrace
  • Not getting that job I was really hoping for. I wanted it so bad I barely even told anyone about my quest. Oh well, that must mean there are other opportunities ahead!
  • The freakin' weather in Michigan.
  • Forgetting absolutely everything lately. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'll have to remember to take more B12. Oh, wait...
  • My skin being extremely dry and itchy...I think I can blame the weather for this one as well.
  • People who won't make decisions for themselves. This is obviously coming from a hurting place inside me...I won't get into it...I just wish people could think for themselves and not let others sway them as much.
  • The next door neighbor kids who do nothing but leave their house and come back to their house. Seriously, they leave for no more than 90 seconds. And they leave like every hour on the hour! I'm not exaggerating. Where are they going? Why does one person have to shut four car doors as loud as they can? Sit still! End rant.
  • And finally...when commercials are louder than the show. Seriously, I thought someone was on this?!
So we now have 28 minutes until Teen Mom (a.k.a the highlight of my night week) so maybe I can give y'all a little update? With Weight Watchers, they overhauled their system and now have a new PointsPlus Program. The same concept just with a different formula. I lost another 2 pounds since I last talked at you guys...which still only puts me at a total weight loss of 9.5 lbs. I was happy that I only gained two during the holidays ( I hear the average is 7) but upset that I haven't lost more. I do Zumba about once a week...but I really need to step it up. And I need to force myself to write down everything I eat on WW so I can keep better track. I have been eating healthy though lately, and I'm proud of that. My ultimate goal is to lose all my weight by September, which is my friend's wedding. I know it can be done, I've seen the kids on "I Used to be Fat" do it...I just need to push harder and workout wayyyy more often.

Well, that is all. I hope you guys enjoy reading and I will leave you with my favorite commercial of the moment. See you soon, promise!

WW Update!

So I figured now would be a good time to update all of you about my progress with Weight Watchers. Ya know, since I'm eating chips and dip, decided to skip tonight's Zumba lesson and have been binging on Holiday goodies all weekend.

Alright so it's not as bad as it sounds. I am eating chips and dip...but I already added it to my points and I still have 11 points left for the day. And I am skipping Zumba, only because I don't have anyone to go with, I'm a little tired and I have to work early in the morning, none of which, are good excuses for skipping, I'm well aware. I don't have one. But when the Saturday morning classes start back up January 8th, I'll be at all most of them. I really do love it. And I have been eating badly this weekend, but the only day I really overdid it was Saturday. I knew it would happen, it was my family's Christmas party and there is always so much amazing food there! I try to control myself with portions, so I can taste a little of everything. (My cheesy potatoes' portions are always a little bigger than average.)

I got back on track Sunday morning and have been doing good since.

I haven't lost any weight in about 3 weeks. It's sad, but I also haven't gained any, so that's good. I'd like to lose before the New Year starts but I'll be happy until then as long as I don't gain any lbs!

So far on this journey I've lost 10.5 lbs. I've been doing it since the end of September, which kind of disappoints me but it's my own fault. At first I was really into the plan and I was losing 1-2 lbs per week and was happy as a clam. But after one bad weekend, I gained 3 pounds and lost my motivation. I have it back, I do the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred some days, and Zumba on Saturdays. (After the Holidays, where all the food is...of course.)

At the moment, I do feel a little guilty because I told myself I'd go to Zumba tonight. I just don't feel like driving 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back in the freezing cold. I'd rather relax tonight!

My good friend Lindsey recently joined WW and she has talked me into running a 5K in the spring. If that weren't a good enough reason to get into shape, my other friend Cindel's wedding is next year and all of the festivities that lead up to said wedding start in January. I must get to exercising! Hopefully I can find some Zumba classes on the way home from work, then I'd really be out of excuses! There is one located at my actual place of work, I just don't want to look like an idiot since I'm the worst dancer on the planet. Also, my feet don't move when my brain tells them to, so...I got that.

Anyway, I'm done rambling for the moment. I hope all of you that are in my same desperately-trying-to-lose-weight-before-you-lose-your-mind boat that I'm in are having a good holiday and better luck!

What's New?

So I'm sitting in bed, Full House is on in the background and I'm wide awake. It's 8:02am, I don't have to be to work until 12:30. The worst part is that it's raining so it feels like it's 4am and it's one of those days where you just want to stay in bed with your sweats on (especially with this cramp I'm currently experiencing) and do exactly as I'm doing...watch Full House re-runs. No, strike that. The worst part about today is that I know when I get to work, I have so many big tasks to complete. I hate going to work and knowing that I'm going to get sweaty and disgusting and there's nothing I can do to prevent it. I'm also going to my mom's house straight from work to celebrate my sister's birthday so no shower for me until later! I really am just waiting for Friday. This weekend is going to be great because it's one of those weekends where we have nothing planned. The boyfriend and I are going to get some hay bales, corn stalks and pumpkins to put out and we'll probably go to Dixboro for some cider and home decorating ideas. This is the most exciting time of the year, we've planted our mums,  I have my autumn leave door mat out and a scarecrow on the door. Yes, I wish I was Martha Stewart.

Anyway September has been like a month of new beginnings for me. I started Weight Watchers on Tuesday. It's a lot easier than I'd thought it would be. It's all about choices now. I used to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it. That's not the way eating is supposed to be. I'm changing myself so that I'll eat what's good for me most of the time and treat myself on special occasions. Now I can choose, do I want 1 cookie or a whole bowl of salad with chicken? I'm proud of myself so far because I haven't given up or cheated. I've been tempted...believe me! But I want to be healthy and thinner more than I want some french fries. I have about 93 pounds to lose so I have a long road ahead of me. Hopefully by this time next year I'll feel comfortable going to holiday parties and looking good at them. My only regret is that I wish I started this sooner. I'm not going to beat myself up about it, though because you have to be completely commited and motivated to start such a big journey like this, or else you won't be successful. I'm finally ready.

Along with Weight Watchers, I've been exercising. I know I'd lose weight just following my points alone but I want to speed it up and also gain some strength. I used to run, in fact, I ran every weekday morning for over 8 weeks. But my shins were killing me, I thought over time they wouldn't hurt so bad but they do. I have shin splints and I don't want to hurt them even more so I decided to get exercise in other ways. Yesterday I started Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. She used to annoy me really bad. I know she's a tough trainer but I just hate how cheesy she is on commercials. I designed my website for you *points at the camera* but I trust her because she used to be big. I know some personal trainers probably have good advice but how do they know what will work for me if they've grown up skinny little kids that decided to lift weights? Anyway I kept hearing how hard it was but I thought "No way is an at-home workout dvd going to be hard for me." I was wrong. I was so wrong. I did Level 1 of the dvd last night, on the easiest level and I worked up a sweat more than I did running in 90 degree weather. I'm definitely going to be sore later. But I'm gonna keep at it. I'm going to make myself do it for thirty days straight. I plan to do Level 1 for two weeks, Level 2 for one week and Level 3 for one week as well. I hope I'm more toned when I'm done. I should notice a change, after eating my points for a month while doing the shred...I hope.

Another challenge I decided to do (I don't have enough on my plate mind right now, right) is the 10 day blog challenge. This challenge will be, well, challenging for me because I don't write in this blog as much as I should, let alone every single day. But I will. I feel empowered so there's no better time to start this than now. My next post will be about the 10 Day Challenge so keep an eye out for that.

Wow, I managed to write a whole post without one mention of makeup? I'm going to have to change the name of my blog! Most beauty related posts to come as well...in fact, I think that after the 10 day challenge, I'm going to attempt the 30 Day Challenge and then after that, the beauty edition. Talk at you guys later! Thanks for reading :)

What are some of your biggest goals?
